Beautiful antique French walnut Renaissance bedstead. This bed is a king size (5'/150cm wide)  The French bed is hand carved with Laurel leaves which forms a wreath on the head end and ornately carved pomegranate finials on the bed posts. The wooden side rails of this beautiful bed have been carefully extended so that a modern mattress can be used. 
 
The wooden bed comes complete with a firm bed base that is in two sections (so it is easy to get up the stairs). The bed will accept a standard king size mattress and we also offer a variety of mattresses. We can make the mattress and bed base in the matching material.
