Our bed bases are manufactured exclusively for Victorian Dreams by a small provincial mattress company in the UK.

About Bed Bases

Our bed bases are made out of solid wood with a pegboard top which allows airflow so that the mattress can breathe. The bed base has a shallow cut out on the underside of each corner to accept the spigot fitting on a metal bedstead.

All of our bases over 4′ wide, are made in two sections, and come supplied with linking bars.

The bases are available in two colour ways - coronation stripe or a plain cream.

We include a firm non-sprung upholstered box base in the price of your vintage bedstead. Bed bases are available as a one off purchase or an upgrade if buying an antique bedstead from us.

Bespoke Sizes Available

We can make any of our pocket sprung and coil sprung mattresses and bases to any size that you require – whether it is longer, shorter, wider, narrower, cut out corners, shaped etc.
