This is an incredibly rare bedframe as the bed is around 400 years old.
The Jacobean period of furniture began in 1603 in England with the reign of James 1 and ended in 1688 with the reign of James 11. Jacobean furniture was mainly made from oak and is noted for its decorative carvings, contiguous circles, lozenge shaped panelling, double scrolls and rounded arches. This bed will take a standard double mattress.
